Service Animal and Pet Policy

Pet Policy

To ensure the safety of all guests and animals, Swans Trail Farms does not allow pets, emotional support animals (ESA), comfort animals, or therapy dogs on the property, including all parking lots.

Service Animals
Working service animals are permitted as defined by WA RCW 49.60.040(25) and must be trained to perform a specific task to assist a person with a disability.

Service animals must follow these rules at all times:

  • Must be under the complete control of its handler
  • Must be housebroken and not urinate or defecate in public spaces
  • Must avoid contact with guests, other animals, or exhibit fences
  • Must not bark, run, jump, or engage in disruptive behavior

Failure to follow these rules will result in removal of the service animal for safety reasons.

Emotional Support Animals (ESA)
Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not considered service animals under Washington State law and are not permitted on the property, including all parking lots.

Documentation, registration, or identification does not change this policy.

Misrepresentation of Service Animals

Misrepresenting an animal as a service animal is a civil infraction under WA State Law RCW 49.60.214, with penalties of up to $500 and removal of the animal from the property.
