U-Pick Pumpkin Patch

A few simple guidelines help protect our guests, our pumpkin field, and the pumpkins everyone has come to enjoy.

• Children must remain with a supervising adult at all times.
• Pick only in areas marked as open for U-Pick.
• Please choose only the pumpkins you plan to purchase.
• All pumpkins picked or removed from the vine must be purchased.
• Please do not throw, kick, drop, or intentionally damage pumpkins.
• Do not step on, pull, or cut pumpkin vines unnecessarily.
• Use only Swans Trail Farms clippers or follow the posted instructions for removing pumpkins from the vine.
• Clippers must be used by adults and returned after use.
• Never pull or carry a pumpkin by its stem. The stem may break and cause the pumpkin to fall.
• Please walk carefully. Pumpkin fields have uneven ground, vines, holes, mud, irrigation equipment, and other natural farm conditions.
• Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. The field may be muddy or slippery.
• Do not enter closed areas or cross ropes, fences, or other barriers.
• Service animals are permitted as required by law. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.
• Follow all instructions from Swans Trail Farms employees and posted signs.

• Farm staff will direct you to the areas currently open for picking.
• Pumpkin varieties, sizes, and quantities vary throughout the season.
• Pumpkins are priced size
• Wagons and wheelbarrows are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Please return all farm wagons and equipment to the designated area after use.

Pumpkin U-Pick takes place in an active farm field. Guests may encounter uneven ground, vines, insects, mud, farm equipment, and changing weather conditions. Please remain aware of your surroundings and supervise children closely throughout your visit.

No pets are permitted at the farm or in the pumpkin patch.

We do allow trained service animals as defined by ADA guidelines. However, emotional support animals (ESAs) and therapy animals are not permitted.

Yes! Our pumpkins are grown right here on the farm, so you're picking directly from the fields where they were grown.

Yes! The U-Pick Pumpkin Patch is located in our free-entry area. You do not need a Harvest Festival admission ticket unless you'd like to enjoy the attractions and activities inside the festival.

Our pumpkin patch is filled with a wide variety of pumpkins, including classic carving pumpkins, mini pumpkins, white pumpkins, unique heirloom varieties, warty pumpkins, Cinderella pumpkins, and more. Every season is a little different, making each visit a new adventure.

Our pumpkins are individually priced based on their size, so whether you're looking for a tiny decorative pumpkin or the perfect jack-o'-lantern, you'll find options for every budget.

There is no admission fee to visit our U-Pick Pumpkin Patch! Park for free, head out into our 50-acre patch, and pay only for the pumpkins you choose. If you'd like to enjoy our Harvest Festival attractions, those require a separate admission ticket. 

No. For everyone's safety, our staff harvests pumpkins from the vines as needed. You'll still get to wander the field and choose your favorite pumpkin straight from the patch.

Our pumpkin patch is stocked throughout the season, but visiting earlier in the fall typically offers the largest selection of colors, sizes, and specialty varieties.

Most families spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour exploring the pumpkin patch, depending on how long it takes to find "the one!" Many guests combine pumpkin picking with the Harvest Festival to make it a full day on the farm.

Absolutely! You're welcome to bring your own wagon to help transport pumpkins. We also provide wagons and wheelbarrows.

Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes or boots that you don't mind getting a little dusty or muddy. Since you're visiting a working farm, conditions can change depending on recent weather.

Of course! Our pumpkin patch is one of the most photographed spots on the farm. Feel free to snap family photos while you're picking pumpkins. We just ask that you be respectful of the crops and other guests. If you're planning a professional photo session, please review our Photography Policy.

Yes! We have wheelbarrows available to help you transport larger pumpkins from the field to the checkout area. Availability may be limited during busy weekends.
