There are so many things to see, do, taste and experience during Harvest Festival at Swans Trail Farms that it can be hard to choose a favorite.
After all, we've spent years building traditions, creating new attractions and finding ways to make fall at the farm special for families. But even with everything happening around the farm, there are a few things our team looks forward to every year.
Here are some of our Harvest Festival favorites!
The Pig Show
One of the highlights of Harvest Festival is watching the pig show.
There's something about seeing these animals up close and watching the story of the three little pigs come to life that makes it a favorite for families and for our team! It's one of those traditional farm experiences that you don't get to enjoy anywhere else.
Whether you're a longtime pig-show fan or seeing it for the first time, it's always a fun part of the day.
The Duck Race
You never quite know what will happen when the ducks hit the track!
Our duck race is a Harvest Festival favorite for a reason. It's silly, exciting and just the right amount of competitive. Families gather around to cheer on their ducks as they make their way to the finish line.
It's one of those little traditions that brings everyone together and brings plenty of laughs along the way.
Getting Lost in the Corn Maze
Of course, we can't talk about Harvest Festival without talking about the corn maze!
There's something special about stepping into a giant field of corn and trying to figure out which way to go. You might think you've found the right path, only to turn a corner and realize you're definitely not where you thought you were.
And that's part of the fun! The maze is a chance to slow down, explore and make a few memories along the way. Getting a little lost is encouraged!
The Food
We'd be leaving out a pretty important part of Harvest Festival if we didn't mention the food!
Our team spends so much time planning, preparing and making the food served around the farm. From deciding what should be on the menu to preparing it for thousands of hungry guests, there's a tremendous amount of work that happens behind the scenes.
And we think you can taste the difference! Whether you're grabbing a warm meal, enjoying one of our famous apple cider donuts, sipping on cider, or stopping for one of your fall favorites, food is a big part of the Harvest Festival experience.
The Little Moments
Some of our favorite moments aren't necessarily attractions at all. It's watching a child find the perfect pumpkin. Seeing families come back year after year. Hearing laughter coming from the corn maze. Watching someone try an apple cider donut for the first time. Seeing grandparents, parents and kids all enjoying the farm together.
Those are the moments that make all the work worth it!
What Makes a Favorite?
Ask everyone on our team what their favorite part of Harvest Festival is, and you'll probably get a different answer. For some, it's the animals. For others, it's the corn maze. Some will always choose the food. And someone is bound to tell you about their favorite fall tradition.
